Join Our Board!
We are currently recruiting new board members to complete our board. We use art/discussion to help people improve their lives and bring awareness to social justice issues. We have several programs including the women’s residence, creating Peace Parks from vacant lots to focus on black history, Youth Art Fest, international program, Nature-to-Nurture, creating art districts, Christmas giveaways, animal welfare, supporting community development, bringing programs to other sites, and more. If you think you know someone or would like to nominate yourself, contact us via email at contact@urbanartretreat.com.
We ask that potential board members volunteer at Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center for three sessions before they are considered for the board of directors. Potential board members will be nominated, interviewed, attend orientation, volunteer for our organization to get to know us better before getting voted on by our board members. We can do our initial orientation over the phone. If interested, look over our Facebook page and website!
